Иван Искров: Не трябва да се притесняват вложителите в банката. Прекратени са операциите на банката и това може да създаде трудности на бизнеса, но банката не е фалирала.

Бързото изтегляне на ликвидни средства и  и преустановяване на разплащанията, както и на всички видове банкови операции е довело до това от Корпоративна търговска банка  да уведомят БНБ, че не могат да продължат дейността си. КТБ не е фалирала, тъй като Българска народна банка действа бързо и решително, именно за да се избегне фалит.   Банката е под специален надзор за три месеца, правата на акционерите са отнети и са назначени квестори. 

За квестори са определени Христина Стамова и Славяна Данаилова. Финансовият министър е уведомен за случая. БНБ има пълната подкрепа на правителството. Това каза на специална пресконференция управителят на БНБ Иван Искров.

Взето е решение да бъдат отстранени членовете на Управителния съвет и на Надзорния съвет на Корпоративна търговска банка. За срок от три месеца от право на глас са лишени акционерите на банката, притежаващи повече от 10 на сто от акциите. Това са "Бромак" ЕООД, притежаваща 56,66% от капитала на КТБ, и "Бългериан акуизишън къмпъни", притежаваща 30,35% от капитала. 

Всички операции на КТБ са консервирани за три месеца и вложителите не могат да теглят пари в този срок. 

Квесторите ще проведат разговори с акционерите. Когато се потвърди интерес от акционерите и те осигурят съответната подкрепа, банката ще възстанови обслужването и извършването на операции. До тогава се налага да изчакат всички, включително големи държавни фирми, обясниха от ръководството на БНБ. 

Иван Искров подчерта стабилността на българския банков сектор и призова да не се предизвиква паника, която би довела до негативни последици.

В банковия сектор няма взаимовръзка, каквато има в Западна Европа, и ставащото с КТБ няма отражение върху цялата система, заяви Искров.  

Искров не коментира разследването срещу шефа на банковия надзор в БНБ Цветан Гунев заради влиянието, което може да окаже на медиите. По думите му атаката срещу Гунев е опит за насаждане на паника, който е довел до това драстично да се увеличат тегленията от Корпоративна търговска банка.

Затворени са офисите на КТБ в Бургас, предаде кореспондентът на БНР Даниела Костадинова. Близо 30 души се събраха пред централния офис на финансовата институция, за да получат повече информация за депозитите си, но служителите ги информираха, че банката ще работи чак в понеделник.
