Електронна услуга на Национална агенция за приходите ще подава онлайн информация до държавните органи относно задълженията към бюджета на техните контрагенти. Това ще спести необходимостта от издаването на хартиен носител на почти един милион удостоверения за наличие или липса на задължения.

Това е приблизителният брой на документите, които Агенцията издава годишно на фирми или граждани. Тези удостоверения са необходими най-вече за информация пред други държавни органи (например изискване за сключване на договор при участие в процедури по Закона за обществените поръчки).

Издаването на удостоверението на хартия е свързано с минимум едно посещение до офис на НАП, а когато данъкоплатецът няма електронен подпис, с който да направи заявката си онлайн – и с две. Новата електронна услуга, която вече е достъпна за държавните институции, спестява освен време и немалко средства - приблизително 7,3 млн. лв. на граждани и фирми. Възможността заинтересованите държавни органи да получат от НАП по електронен път необходимата им информация относно  наличието или липсата на задължения към бюджета премахва необходимостта такава да се изисква от клиента в хартиен вариант. За да стане възможно това при всички държавни, общински или банкови институции са необходими законодателни промени така че електронно получената информация да е равносилна на тази, отпечатана на хартиен носител.

От НАП уточняват още, че софтуерът не посочва други подробности, като например размер или вид на дълга, ако фирмата има задължения, защото тази информация е конфиденциална по закон.
