Многонационалните компании публично да разкриват колко данъци плащат и къде, планират от икономическата и правната комисия на ЕП.

Оповестяването включва и данъци, платени извън ЕС, и ще се изисква от корпорации с общ оборот от 750 млн. евро или повече.

Комисиите по икономика и правни въпроси са одобрили с 38 гласа "за", 9 гласа "против" и 36 "въздържали се" предложението големите фирми да напарвят информацията за данъка, който плащат във всяка държава в света, обществено достъпна, но с възможни изключения в случаите, когато трябва да бъде запазена конфиденциалността на чувствителна търговска информация. Целта е да се увеличи прозрачността в сферата на данъчното облагане. Проектодокладът на комисиите е част от мерките за борба с избягването на данъчно облагане и укриване на корпоративни данъци, което според Европейската комисия струва на страните от ЕС 50-70 милиарда евро годишно в загубени данъчни приходи.
