МТСП публикува за обществено обсъждане проект за промени в Кодекса на труда, в който са заложени по-високи санкции за работодатели и длъжностни лица при установяване на повторно нарушение, свързано с недеклариран труд. По-високи административни санкции се предлагат и за системни нарушения, свързани с неплащане в срок на дължимите от работодателя трудови възнаграждения или обезщетения.

Други предложени промени са свързани с прецизирането на нормативната уредба в сферата на трудовите отношения с международен елемент, включително при командироване.

Предвижда се също така намаляване от 8 на 4 месеца на изисквания минимален трудов стаж за ползване на платен годишен отпуск от работници и служители, които постъпват за първи път на работа. 

В законопроекта е заложена възможност чрез колективно трудово договаряне синдикатите и работодателите на браншово и отраслово равнище да договарят по-голяма продължителност на извънредния труд на работник или служител, но не повече от 300 часа в рамките на една календарна година.

Друго предложено изменение в нормативния акт предвижда тютюнопроизводителите също да могат да наемат работници с еднодневни договори за краткотрайна селскостопанска работа по време на прибирането и обработката на реколтата.
